North Little Rock #1004 Pin

There is a story of the "dog" pin! Back in "The Day," North Little Rock was the blue collar side of the River and Little Rock was the State Capital, Finance, and Commerce center of the State. The old story goes, the City of Little Rock would dump their stray dogs on our end of the Main Street Bridge. When NLRHS and Little Rock Central HS would play any athletic event, their students and fans would bark at NLR.

Well, North Little Rock has the last laugh. Downtown North Little Rock's Argenta Arts and Entertainment District is prospering and the "place to be." We have embraced being "Dogtown" and our pin is an ode to that! We have dog murals around town and many new businesses use the 'Dogtown "name.

The North Little Rock Elks are proud to be celebrating 120 years in Argenta and "Dogtown!"
