The State of Arkansas offers scholarships to “in-state” colleges and universities for Arkansas traditional and non-traditional students.
This program offers annual scholarships from $1,000 in the first year to as much as $5,000 per year in the 4th year to students enrolled in either 2 year or 4-year institutions.
The 2024 MVS application window has closed. Winners will be announced in late March 2024. Resources for the contest are currently available at elks.org.

This year the NLR Elks raised almost $10,000 dollars for annually renewable scholarship that were awarded to 14 local students.
Over the past 10 years, the NLR Elks #1004 has presented over 144 scholarships that totaled over $92,000.
Our local scholarship program awards scholarships annually based on community service, leadership, academic achievements and need.
The application period for our lodge scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year is now closed.
The ASEA Wentz scholarship contest awards one-year, $2,000 scholarships to Elk members, spouses of Elk Members, and children and grandchildren of Elk members who are college juniors and seniors at an accredited four-year American college or university. The qualifying Elk must be a member of an Arkansas Lodge.
The application period for the Wentz Scholarship will open in the Spring of 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.
